[COMPLETE] Voice Network Maintenance

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

23:07: This maintenance has been completed without issue.

We will be replacing our sip proxy with a more robust load balancer. The new unit has been configured and simply needs to have its IP changed to match that of the old unit. Unfortunately due to firewall configurations on customer premises it is not possible to complete a soft DNS change.

This work will commence: 23:00 – 20/11/2008

The planned period of downtime is < 5 minutes. If the upgrade should fail, we will revert back to our previous configuration.

[RESOLVED] Network Problems

Thursday, November 13th, 2008

19:14: A Duplex mismatch had occurred on one of our core network switches. This resulted in lowered throughout and increased network latency and jitter. Our engineers had diagnosed the fault within 5 minutes and this was rectified within 10 minutes. Our VoIP network is hosted off-island and as such was unaffected by this downtime.

19:05: We are currently experiencing some intermittent network issues with our on-island network. Our engineers are aware of the problem and are currently working to isolate the fault.

This issue has now been resolved. No further issues are anticipated in relation to this report.
