Scheduled Network Maintenance: 13/03/2012

Engineers will be carrying out scheduled maintenance to our network in the Douglas and Onchan area on Tuesday the 13th of March 2012 between 11:30 and 13:30 Hrs. During this 2 hour window, access to our services will be unavailable for approximately 5 minutes whilst equipment is restarted.

Services transiting our converged IP network will be unavailable during this time. Services NOT affected include:

* On/Off Island VoIP Services
* Private Microwave Links
* Maritime GSM / Satellite services
* UK Based IP/TDM Connectivity

An update will be posted here once the work has been completed.

13/03/2012 – 11:45 – This work has been completed within the allotted time without incident.

Engineers will be carrying out scheduled maintenance to our on-Island IP network on Thursday the 5th of January 2011 between 03:00 and 03:05 Hrs. During this 5 minute window, services transiting our converged IP network may become unavailable. Services NOT affected include:

* Private Microwave Links
* Maritime GSM / Satellite services
* UK Based IP/TDM Connectivity

An update will be posted here once the work has been completed.

High Traffic Load

00:59: This issue has now been resolved.

00:39: Our site is beginning to come back up, and we expect it to return to full health within the next 30 minutes.

Our servers are currently receiving loads in excess of 100x our usual traffic profile for this time of night. We are working to add more servers into the cluster to keep our site healthy and fully functional.

Our support site remains unaffected as does our Twitter feed @BlueWaveIoM

Scheduled Maintenance: Snaefell East Sector

To advise, we will be upgrading the network at our Snaefell PoP today Thursday 30th September. Affected customers connected to our east facing sector (thats customers in Machould, Laxey, Baldrine & The Braid) will see connectivity down for approximately 1 hour. Business customers, or those with SLA’s over 99.95%, have been contacted with alternative arrangements to ensure continued connectivity throughout the upgrade.

Maintenance Window: 10 AM – 4 PM Downtime: 1 Hour

13:03 The issue has now been resolved.

12:12 The issue has been traced to a routing issue with one of our upstream transit providers. We are continuing our investigations.

11:59 We are currently investigating an issue affecting some users of our primary web server. Access to our support site http://support.bluewave.im/ continues to be available.
